Phi Phi Phi Archipelago, 45 kilometers from Phuket and part of Krabi Province, is one of the most admired and popular destinations in the region. Consisting of six islands – Phi Phi Phi Don, Phi Phi Phi Le, Bambu (Koh Mai Pai), Mosquito (Koh Yung), Bida Nai and Bida Nok – this archipelago is a unique combination of natural beauty.
Only the largest island, Phi Phi Phi Don, is inhabited; the other five are part of a national park established in 1983. A special place among the islands is occupied by Phi Phi Le with Maya Bay. This place became world famous after the release of the movie “The Beach” with Leonardo DiCaprio, produced by 20th Century Fox in 2000. Thanks to the movie, many people dream of being on this stretch of paradisiacal coastline, surrounded by hundred-meter limestone monoliths that give off a mystery vibe.
But Phi Phi Phi is not just Maya Bay. It’s also Bambu Island with its huge white sand beach and clear water. It is also the island of Phi Phi Don, rightly to say the local Ibiza. By day it is a beach resort with a relaxed atmosphere, and at night it is colorful parties, music and fire shows. The archipelago also offers many snorkeling spots where everyone can dive, snorkel or scuba dive and enjoy the breathtaking scenery of the limestone cliffs that create an unforgettable atmosphere of this unique place.
